Kylesku Lodges are two hours drive north-west from Inverness via
Ullapool over modern
well-surfaced roads.
Inverness By Road
Edinburgh and Glasgow are approximately three and a half hours drive
from Inverness via the A9 trunk road.
Inverness By Rail
From Inverness there are mainline rail services to the South.
GNER operate a twice daily service
to King's Cross London, one is an overnight sleeper train.
Inverness By Air
There are daily flights direct from Gatwick and Heathrow
to Inverness Airport. EasyJet and other low cost carriers offer low cost flights to Inverness from several
regional airports.
Low cost car hire can be arranged at Inverness.
Directions by car from Inverness to Kylesku
Leave Inverness via the Kessock Bridge and follow the signs to Ullapool
(A835).
From Ullapool continue north to KYLESKU (signposted).
After19 miles, at the T-junction, turn left on to the A837.
After 8 miles turn right on to the A894 (signposted Kylesku).
Continue north and after 7 miles drive past a turnoff to UNAPOOL township on the right.
Continue for approximately a quarter mile and you will see the sign for Kylesku Lodges on your left at
the foot of the hill.
The sign post is on the left hand side of the road and the turn-off is just
after the signpost and just before a small loch.
The drive is scenic over good roads and will take
approximately two hours.
Directions from Durness (about 39 miles)
Take the A838 south to Laxford Bridge where the road
continues as the A894 to Scourie. Continue south through Scourie to
Kylesku. Kylesku Lodges are half a mile after the high bridge which spans Loch
a Chairn Bhain. The turn-off to Kylesku Lodges is a right turn
from the main road, just after the turning to Kylesku village. Look out for the
signpost on the right hand side of the road. The lodges are hidden from
the main road and lie nestled on the hillside overlooking Loch
a Chairn Bhain.
